Primary Care Services


PILLAR offers primary care services including home visits which offer several benefits, including improved access to care, personalized care, better patient outcomes, enhanced patient-physician relationship, and lower healthcare costs. Our PCPs are trained in a wide range of medical areas and provide preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment for a variety of common medical conditions. Our services include but are not limited to:


  • Conducting routine physical exams and health screenings
  • Diagnosing and treating common illnesses and injuries
  • Managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma
  • Providing counseling on healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention
  • Referring patients to specialists for more complex medical issues

Drug Testing


Our drug and alcohol testing services are provided for individuals needing drug testing for probation, court ordered testing, self-testing, drug testing of teenagers and more. We also provide drug testing for employers.

STD Testing


The STD clinic provides confidential testing for Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Syphilis, and HIV. Diagnosis is based on a combination of client symptoms, medical history, STD exposure, and lab results. Medication to treat infections is available on-site.

PrEP

Self-Growth and Wellness Workshops


Self-growth and Wellness Workshops are designed to help you understand your own needs, desires, emotions, habits, and everything else that makes you who you are. The more you know about yourself, the better equipped you are to engage in healthy relationships and have an improved sense of self. These workshops are rendered by a trained PILLAR representative certified to provide these types of services.

Skill Building Activities


These activities aim to equip someone with needed skill sets to help a person maintain healthy relationships with others but especially with oneself. The activities are also structured to empower participants and assist them in finding peace of mind and well-being by viewing their actions within a non-judgmental framework, allowing for honest self-observation without self-reproach. These workshops take place in a safe learning environment where feedback is given and received in a non-threatening manner, which results in a strong support structure for improving self-esteem. These activities are facilitated by a trained PILLAR representative.

Educational Presentations


These presentations are tailored to fit the need of a group of people or agency interested in enlightening their members, student body or employees thus increasing a person’s level of awareness and knowledge on a variety of subjects within the behavioral health and substance use domains. Typical presentation requests include suicide prevention bullying prevention, substance use issues, relationship matters, and depression. The presentations are provided by trained PILLAR representatives with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the various topics.

Socialization Groups for Adolescents


These groups consist of non-therapeutic, discussion-oriented approaches designed to solicit face-to-face interactions among its participants focusing on random topics that are generally of interest to youth. These groups are peer led by a trained youth facilitator.  For example, during the school year (September through May) all youth ages 14 through 18 are invited to attend from 5:30 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. every Friday and engage in these socialization groups. Food and Drinks are provided. For the last 2 years, the groups have been titled “Cooking and Conversations” as the youth facilitator prepares snacks or small meals for the participants while openly discussing the topics at hand.
